So you are visiting Lithuania? And it's summer? Great timing! This is a short guide of places you can visit after exploring Vilnius Old Town:

Outdore & Hip:

Bernardinų Kiemas - it has a wide selection of taps and a big outdoor area with food trucks. Recommend having a walk along Vilnele river in the park, climbing to the Three Crosses Monument and then enjoying a cold beverage.

Downtown Forest Hostel - it's a hip hostel with a big outdoor area. You can book a barbecue and enjoy an afternoon chilling and grilling. Not fancy cooking yourself - sometimes they have food trucks. In case there is none or the weather is horrendous you can walk 5 minutes to Paupio Turgus with loads of different food vendors.

Lukiškių Kalėjimas 2.0 - old prison now turned into an arts hub. Also, if you are a fan of Stranger things you need to visit the place where they filmed 4th season.

Peronas - In most countries, the main train station area is always a bit rough - same in Vilnius. That's where you usually find hidden gems...

Menu Fabrikas Loftas - it's located in the new part of town in the old factory territory. It does have a lot of events during the summer.

Piano Man Outside - our summers are relatively short, hence everyone tries to spend as much time outside as possible. This is one of the places where you can chill in the courtyard and enjoy the sunshine.

Šeimos Restoranėlis - it's always nice to sit close to the river during the summer and have a few drinks. It's a pretty small place, hence sometimes might be difficult to find a place to sit.

Rooftop bars:

Opera Social House - reminds me of London Gian Robot place that used to be in Canary Wharf. Good music, amazing view from the terrace. It's just missing street food vendors, but you can have a few snacks inside. Recently they have been having privat events so need to check before going.

Residence Cocktail Bar - a bit pricy place as cocktails are around 16 euros. For this price as you expect you get amazing views and a fancy atmosphere.

Kitas Krantas - is not a rooftop bar but it has a terrace on a river! It's a great place to stop for a drink when you are going for a walk along the river.

Lithuanian beer:

Beer Library - it's one of the places that you need to visit if you like beer. They have numerous taps, bottled beers and well-educated staff.
